It all started when I “designed” my first room at five years old. Bubble gum pink walls, tiny roses on my polyester bedspread, green carpet that looked like grass. I caught the decorating bug and never gave it up. Later, in my teens, I decorated my room with a gray lacquer water bed, peach Halston linens and Ralph Lauren posters from Women’s Wear Daily. It was trés chic for 1985!
For years my friends asked me for decorating, renovation and design advice, and I happily dispensed it for free. Then one day, I realized I could do something I truly loved and get paid for it, and Locust Grove Designs was born.
I’ve renovated a darling 1860′s Victorian as well as a circa 1800 farmhouse. I was formerly employed at Teakwood Builders as their in-house decorator and marketing expert, and I’ve worked on every project from simple, country kitchens to six-figure home renovations. I love shopping, bargain hunting, and am an avid DIY’er. I love talking about houses, looking at houses, thinking about houses, and most of all working on houses.
In addition to my experience in the home improvement field, I have a BS from Skidmore College in Business Management and have more than 20 years’ experience in operations, sales and marketing. I’m a huge fan of my boys, a foodie, an organic gardener and a kickboxing and CrossFit enthusiast.
Whether you need to stage a house for sale, update a room or renovate an entire house, I will guide you through the process to find your perfect style.
Love Your Home Again.
