Nautical Inspired Living Room

Dorm-room style living room

My client spent many years in the Navy and I wanted to reflect her service in her new space with a nautical-inspired living room. The former living room was dark and bare bones, with cast off furnishings from their younger years. Despite my client’s initial concerns with the color choices, we made the room more personal and welcoming with a bold navy blue accent over the fireplace (Benjamin Moore Hale Navy HC-154) and a warm gold on the rest of the walls (Benjamin Moore Oat Straw AF-340), we created a relaxing retreat for her family to hang out together.

We purchased the over-sized nautical charts and had them custom framed, which helps to bring down the sky-high ceilings. We are still on the lookout for the perfect accents over the flat screen TV.

Folk Art Dining Room

Dining Room Before

Using catalogs and magazines as inspiration, we created a folk art dining room with lots of layers and accessories. By moving a few pieces around, bringing in accessories from the basement and other rooms, we created a one of a kind, folk art inspired dining room, perfect for entertaining and relaxing.

Peaceful Master Bedroom Retreat

Master Bedroom After Re-Design

These homeowners love the folk art style, but wanted the bedroom to have a different, peaceful, healing vibe. Painted a cool blue, all that was needed was some redesigned space and a few new accessories. And voila! Instant retreat!

These homeowners already had great pieces and accessories, they just needed a little help putting them in the right places to give them the Folk Art look they were trying to achieve. We left the furniture in place because it worked for their entertaining lifestyle but pulled in accessories from other rooms and brought in some new accessories to pull the room together.

Master Bath Update

The homeowners didn’t want to completely renovate their bath, they just wanted a little update to make it fresh. I painted the cabinet and put on new hardware, and the homeowner painted the walls and will install a new faucet. It wasn’t a big project but it made a big difference!

Horse Farm Staging

These homeowners were downsizing and

moving across the country so they wanted to use things they already had to stage their house. They chose to paint two of the rooms and updated some linens, and we moved furniture and artwork around to create an inviting, open space. It was a low-cost, highly effective solution that will get this house sold!

Folk Art Redesign

This client already had lots of great pieces of primitive folk art, she just wasn’t sure how to arrange them to get the look she wanted. After scouring pages from magazines and catalogs she liked, we created her perfect folk art look.
